  • Looking for a new way to address an old problem?
  • Seeking clarity regarding a new issue?

Experience this cutting-edge mind/body therapeutic technique to promote personal healing and growth.

You begin with the most fundamental of questions, "What would you like to have happen?" With 11 more basic questions and the Clean Laguage process, developed by psychotherapist David Grove, you and your facilitator explore together the nuances of an issue and what needs to happen for the kind of change you want. The process 'cleanly' keeps the facilitator and his/her assumptions and advice out of the process, making it client-centered and empowering.

Taking a quantum leap beyond, you can employ Symbolic Modeling, as developed by Penny Tompkins and James Lawley. The process invites you to gain clarity about yourself and to work through issues at a symbolic or metaphoric level. As you explore your metaphors, new discoveries and connections are made, the metaphors begin to evolve, and changes in your everyday thoughts, feelings, and behavior can follow.

Symbolic Modeling uses a systematic questioning process to work with internalized metaphors to clarify personal beliefs and goals, and to work through conflicts.

    Using t
he five stage Symbolic Modeling process, the facilitator guides the client to explore these metaphors, their organization, interactions, and patterns.  By determining how they can be changed to meet the client’s desired outcomes, a transformative shift can occur within a client’s metaphor “landscape”, which in turn brings about meaningful change. It is a language-based mind/body therapy which is powerfully visceral.
